Out of the mouths of babes
Tonight I babysat my two nephews.
Uncle Shaun: Did you know that your Uncle Neal and I shared a room when we were at BYU? We had bunkbeds. Uncle Neal had the top bunk, and I had the bottom. We would stay up late talking...mainly about the girls we liked.
Ethan: But you're still not married. (Nothing like having a 6 year old point out your singlehood) Maybe you will never find the right one. (Ouch!!)
Uncle Shaun: I sure hope I do.
Ethan: I already found the right one. She's in my class at school. We both have crushes on each other.
He must get this from his mother (my sister-in-law). My side of the family tends to dither a little more when it comes to dating and commitment. Hmm...maybe I should be taking notes from nephew instead.

Wouldn't it be nice to have those late night roommate conversations recorded? I wonder if we'd still find them entertaining. I'm pretty sure I'd find other people's entertaining. I'm pretty sure I'd find the late night laundry room conversations embarrassing.
You Rushforths and your dithering.
Bah!
I also know several six- and seven-year-olds who have figured out who they want to marry. Very proactive, these kids. They're rather impatient for me to pick out someone for myself, but I seem to be on the dithering plan as well.
Heeheeheehohohoho - holding my sides from laughing. When you do find the one, make sure you let him know:)
... no wonder you wanted them to fall asleep (facebook comment).
I agree with Talyn ... except I think with fondness on the late night laundry room conversations ... I learned tons.
